The San Francisco 49ers have officially signed linebacker Larry Worth III to a three-year contract, the team announced Monday. To free up a roster spot, the organization waived linebacker Milo Eifler.
Worth III (6-4, 226 lbs) brings collegiate experience from both Jacksonville State (2022–23) and Arkansas (2024–25), appearing in 47 games with 21 starts. Over his four-year college career, he recorded 201 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, six passes defended, three forced fumbles, and one interception. In his final season at Arkansas (2025), the former Razorback played in 12 games (11 starts), tallying 64 tackles and one pass breakup. A year prior, he started five of 13 contests, finishing with 54 tackles, two passes defensed, 1.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and half a sack. During his time at Jacksonville State, Worth III made an impact in 2023 with 63 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, two passes defended, one interception, and a forced fumble across 13 games (five starts). In 2022, he contributed 20 tackles, two tackles for loss, one pass defended, and a forced fumble in nine appearances.
Eifler (6-2, 225 lbs) initially signed a reserve/future contract with San Francisco on January 7, 2026. His departure opens a spot for the newly added linebacker as the team continues to shape its defensive depth heading into the offseason program.
