Former personal chef to Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed the 41-year-old footballer’s dietary plan. He has cut out sugar, milk, and flour-based foods, obtaining carbohydrates from vegetables, and prefers fish or lean meat fillets for dinner. Dietitian Anton Polyakov evaluated this regimen in an interview with aif.ru.

According to the expert, Ronaldo follows a mild variation of an elimination reproductive diet. This approach involves avoiding foods containing gluten, as well as dairy products and oils rich in omega-6 (such as corn, sunflower, and canola oils). These foods can trigger inflammatory processes in the body, cause fluid retention, and lead to weight gain.

“Ronaldo has been placed on a mild modification of an elimination reproductive diet,” Polyakov explained. “A good decision.”

He clarified that under this method, certain food groups—including those to which one may have a food allergy—are excluded for an average of six months. Then, once a month, one group is reintroduced, and specialists monitor the body’s reaction.

“If there are no changes, these foods can be returned to the diet. If negative symptoms occur, the foods should be eliminated permanently,” the dietitian concluded.
