Former Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is making a comeback as a coach on the ATP Tour. After previously working with Novak Djokovic, he will now mentor fellow Briton Jack Draper.
Two-time Wimbledon winner Andy Murray is set to return to the ATP Tour as a coach this summer. The 38-year-old Scot, who spent six months as Grand Slam record champion Novak Djokovic’s coach from November 2024 to May 2025, will take over the role of mentoring Britain’s Jack Draper during the upcoming grass-court season. Draper, now ranked 50th in the world after a series of major injury setbacks, confirmed the news on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old had previously announced the end of his partnership with coach Jamie Delgado. Draper was ranked as high as world No. 4 in June 2025 but was forced to take an eight-month break due to arm problems. He will miss the French Open in Paris, which begins on May 24, because of ongoing knee issues. The grass-court highlight at Wimbledon is scheduled to start on June 29.
Murray, who also claimed two Olympic gold medals and three major titles, previously described his collaboration with Djokovic as an “amazing experience.” He said, “I gave it everything and learned a lot about what coaching truly means.”
