Skip Bayless has issued a sharp critique of LeBron James, focusing on the Lakers star’s late-game execution and shooting consistency.
Bayless questioned James’ mental toughness in high-pressure moments and argued that, despite his immense talent and career achievements, LeBron has never been a reliable clutch performer in his view.
“LeBron James, to me, has proven over many, many years to be the most mentally fragile superstar I have ever closely observed,” Bayless said. “I mean, the poor man, as gifted as he is, was born without a clutch gene.”
He also took aim at James’ shooting percentages, particularly from the free-throw line and beyond the three-point arc, noting that these weaknesses become more glaring in critical situations.
“So he’s lucky to be in the top 10 because he’s a liability and always has been at the late-game free-throw line,” Bayless added. “You can just look it up. By superstar standards, he is a poor free-throw shooter for his career at 74%, and an even poorer three-point shooter at 35% for his career.”
The veteran sports commentator concluded by mocking James’ struggles with long-range shooting. “And you wanna talk about launching LeBricks? He’s launched a lot of LeBricks in his day,” Bayless said.
