Kurdistan Textile Workers Stage Protest Gathering in Sanandaj
According to Iranian Labour News Agency (ILNA), one hundred of the 300 member Kurdistan Textile Workers Housing Coop staged a protest gathering by the Housing and Urban Development offices in the Kurdish city of Sanandaj on July 9.
According to a protester, Jabbar Khoda Moradi: “the Housing and Urban Development Office in the state of Kurdistan is not issuing the necessary construction permits for the Kurdistan Textile Workers Housing Cooperative. This is while the land for this purpose has been purchased 11 years ago.”
Declaring that 22 different housing coops have been involved with the Housing and Urban Development Office, he said that the Kurdistan Textile Workers Housing Coop has three hundred members and is asking for the needed permits.
